Jesus for ever settled mankind’s question,  Am I good enough to…..

Come before God?

Receive God’s help?

Qualify for His promises?

As long as I rely on my own efforts, there will always be uncertainty. Have I done enough? What is enough?  When I discard my works system and put my trust in what Jesus did for me on the Cross, I have unrestricted access to my heavenly Father. I don’t have to go through religious calisthenics to be ready to meet with God.  Jesus cleared the way (past tense) for me and now I can be sure God isn’t mad. He loves me. He accepts me just as I am. He is with me. He will never leave me. He is on my side ready to help me.

When God closes a door, there’s often a waiting period before He opens the next door. If you’re in that hallway, trying door after door that isn’t budging, cling to the promises He made to you. Pray and say  those promises out loud. Our God keeps His Word. He has an open door prepared for you to walk through into the new “land” He is giving you. Let’s trust Him and keep going.

So, friends, we can now—without hesitation—walk right up to God, into “the Holy Place.” Jesus has cleared the way by the blood of his sacrifice, acting as our priest before God. The “curtain” into God’s presence is his body.

So let’s do it—full of belief, confident that we’re presentable inside and out. Let’s keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going. He always keeps his word. Hebrews 10:19-23 MSG
